CIS150: Introduction to Networking
This course focuses on an introduction to networking technology, its implementation, and an introduction to TCP/IP and network utilities. The course conducts an in-depth examination of various media types, appropriate topologies for different types of networks, network and transport protocols, connectivity devices, and various LAN and WAN services. The student will study implementation issues including network management, account management, and security. Prerequisite: CIS106 Introduction to Operating Systems
These courses provide up to 33 Semester Hours of college credit in the core, required technical and advanced technical areas of the three primary degree fields listed below.
