Overview
Are you the type of person who likes challenge and who wants to help an organization stay ahead of anyone or anything that might harm its computer systems?

A career in Cyber Security and Network Security might be right for you. Now more than ever, as more business is conducted via the Internet, a person who is responsible for protecting computer networks is a valuable contributor to their organization.

Understanding how systems are vulnerable and knowing how to protect them from hackers, viruses, and other acts of cyber-terrorism is a high priority. It's not a game! This program provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for graduates to acquire entry-level employment as a network security specialist in a variety of settings.

A Bachelor Degree program is also available which prepares the graduate for more advanced and higher-level employment positions in the Network Security field.

What You Can Learn
Through interactive, hands-on instruction, graduates are able to:

  • Administer and manage networks.
  • Create and manage user/group accounts and configure network routers.
  • Assist in development and implementation of policies for disaster recovery, network security design and cyber security
  • Participate in software installations, network upgrades, and end-user training.
  • Assist customers in day-to-day network operations and troubleshooting.

Employment opportunities for graduates include a variety of entry-level positions across a wide spectrum of industries within the cyber security and network security arena.

Depending upon the position and employer requirements, eligibility for security clearances may be required.
